Leadership Accompaniment
Congregational and Ministry Leadership is a calling and at the same time an ongoing vocation that needs to be practiced and developed. There is always more to learn and explore for everyone. Diverse contexts and changing circumstances in which leaders carry out their ministries require willingness to develop skills and acquire knowledge.
The aim of accompaniment is to listen to the mind and heart of the leader, to gain a deep understanding of their motives and assumptions, to be available to celebrate successes and disappointments, and to learn the context of the leader’s work well enough to ask questions that serve to sharpen a leader’s performance.
The Leadership Accompaniment Forum brings Certified Wholistic Leaders, Certified Governance Trustees, and Congregational and Ministry Leaders together and offers spaces for fellowship and accompaniment, mutual sharing and learning, and exchange of information, experiences and resources.
The Leadership Accompaniment Forum wants to encourage leaders to be connected and support each other in their calling. The peer-based interventions and mentoring processes provide safe spaces for dialogue, whereby leaders can feel supported and empowered, and also address issues that are sensitive and truly concern and burden them.
